Antique piano stool with storage and drop-down music book rack. Re-vamped by Bren & Mick @ Spooktacula Exclusive Designs. Stool was originally painted black so paint has been refreshed. Panels have been lined with white wipe-clean paper with a black nature design. The seat has been recovered with leaf design tapestry furniture fabric and trimmed with pale grey braid and upholstery pins. The stool would make a great craft, sewing or knitting box with storage for patterns etc.; the stool can also be used as extra seating. Gilbert Wind-up Gramophone Model No.60
Gilbert Gramophones were produced in Sheffield between 1922 and 1931. The factory was on Arundel Street in the City centre and was founded by Mr Charles Gilbert Hibbard who rearranged his initials to call the company C.H Gilbert and Co. This particular item has been sympathetically renovated by Mick @ Spooktacula Exclusive Designs. Good working order. Very good for age. Comes with a large number of 78 RPM records.
